Materials of Wedge Insulation Strain Clamp
- Materials: The main body is made of non-magnetic, high-strength, oxidation-resistant aluminum alloy, which eliminates hysteresis loss, saves energy, and reduces consumption, meeting the requirements for aluminum-to-aluminum contact in aluminum conductors; the accompanying insulating cover is made of weather-resistant insulating material, and the fasteners are made of hot-dip galvanized high-strength steel for rust and corrosion resistance; all metal components undergo anti-corrosion treatment to extend outdoor service life.

Installation Steps

Thread the wire through the clamp body and insert the wedge core, ensuring the
wedge core fits snugly against the wire and is flush at both ends;
Use a tensioning tool to tighten the wire to the appropriate tension, then gently tap the end of the
wedge core to pre-tighten it, taking care not to damage the wire insulation;
Remove the tensioning tool and adjust the nut to meet project specifications;
Slide on the insulating sleeve to complete the insulation protection.
Precautions: The installation direction of the wedge core must align with the direction of force on the
wire to prevent the wire from slipping due to incorrect installation; sufficient length must be left at
the wire end, and the exposed portion must be treated to prevent strand separation; the insulating cover
must be installed properly to ensure a sealed protection. No complex modifications are required, allowing
for rapid deployment.
